Increase Florida seafood sales at your establishment by encouraging your patrons to "Go Native!" This awareness campaign is designed to bring consumer attention to the availability of Florida’s native seafood at restaurants and retailers.
Recent studies show that consumers prefer fresh, local foods from close-to-home culinary sources. The key attribute that consumers look for is freshness -- and offering locally produced seafood is the most effective way to meet their needs.
With recent news reports about deceptive seafood identification, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services consumers will appreciate the "Go Native!" campaign since it clearly identifies Florida seafood in restaurants and markets.
Promotional display items are supplied, free of charge, to restaurants and retailers that want to participate in "Go Native!" The free promotional materials include colorful table/counter tents, brochures, entrée/product flags, menu stickers, staff buttons, posters and window decals. The "Go Native!" logo will spark curiosity among your patrons and give your staff the opportunity to explain the program and the importance of eating locally caught Florida seafood. T-shirts may also be purchased from this website.
There are two requirements for participating in the "Go Native!" campaign:
1. You must sell Florida seafood. You are also encouraged to prominently display the free promotional materials.
2. You must be a member of the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign (FAPC, also known as "Fresh From Florida.")
When you join the campaign, at your request we will list your retail market or restaurant on our web site so consumers will know that you sell fresh Florida seafood.
